2 Bands have snapped within the first two months of use. Whilst I'd love to leave it a great review as I've found the remaining bands extremely useful alongside the bar, UniversalBar have not responded to my emails making them aware of this issue.

Components are well made and easy to assemble.
However, long cables attached to foot straps are not long enough to extend from squat to stand @165cm. These components did not look like those used in training demos and are not sold on the Universal Bar website.
I have requested more information about returning a product that doesn’t meet advertised claims, have yet to receive a response.

The product itself is good quality and much more strength challenging than had anticipated which is great. My 2 gripes are I paid extra for 1-3 day shipping and it arrived 10 days later so don’t waste your money on this option. Second is the exercise guide locked behind an additional paywall which is a bit rich given the prices charged for units.

I bought a Universal Bar as my home alternative to working out at a free, local outdoor gym when it’s too cold and/or wet. I watched the videos on YouTube for instructions on how to assemble it (easy) and how to use it to get a decent workout. I love it! The quality of the materials used in its manufacture is top grade and its versatility is excellent. 100% recommended.

Mixed review here, I love the universal bar. It has more than enough resistance for a tough workout anywhere. What I find disappointing is the subscription, close to $100 for six months, for a few demonstration videos. No daily workout routines or how to assemble for each excersize. No on going videos. Now that is a rip off in my book. I emailed and asked for a refund and got no reply. Again good product, everything else is a rip off. Do not waste money on the subscription.

Great product, but the strap is very small and digs into my back, and there is no way of maxing more weight to it as the plastic anchors don't allow, so that's a shame.... have sent multiple emails, and questions to your Facebook page, but got no answers.... bit of a let down.

It’s been a very good addition to my equipment. Allows you to perform a great variety of different exercises with some very good resistance which is what it’s all about. Doesn’t take up any room and I’ve even taken it camping to burn off that excess food and drink when away.. very happy with purchase

Pretty impressed overall! Been using it quite a bit and you can do A LOT of different exercises with them and get a good workout in. The only thing I would improve is the ability to shorten or lengthen the resistance bands so you can have a different starting point in the resistance. It can be a bit strange doing a chest press only half way because the bands aren't short enough. You could design a band with multiple knots or latch point along the band to be able to adjust the length of the bands.

Absolutely love this so far.
I searched high and low for something that would suit my needs, lots of products from off shore companies but was absolutely stoked when I found an Aussie company I could support.
My main for of exercise is about 4 x 45min HIIT classes a week. Great for overall fitness and keeping my weight down, but I wanted something I could access and use easily when I wanted, to help me tone up more and look a little more defined.
I definitely didn't want to join another gym and I also wanted something that was completely convenient for me. The Universal Bar has hit it out of the park for me so far, particularly when I just want to get a quick arm, shoulder, back and chest workout in, from the provacy of my house, bedroom, or anyhwere I feel like really.
More constructive feedback, than criticism; it would be great to see as this business grows, something like guided workouts for specific muscle groups or body parts.
I'm by no means and expert when it comes to this stuff, so any extra content or information regarding getting best results would be amazing.
I love it though and am very glad I purchased it!

The universal bar is very good, but easily overpowered for the bench press with 2 or 3 straps if you're very strong, but good enough for a workout if you're away (doesn't replace the gym however).
In the manual there are shorter straps for back rows which aren't in the box, so I was rather disappointed with that as it's false advertising.
But overall it's a good home workout solution, I would recommend the life time warranty and guarantee if you're going to give the bar a daily workout like I do as the straps may not last long, especially if you're only using one or two of them.
The smaller straps are very tight to put into the bench press back strap and I struggled for a while hoping not to break it.
But overall a great solution and I love mine, just hope it lasts a long time.

Such a great portable gym system, better than oldschool standalone bands. So versatile with loads of different exercises you can do. Throw in an additional set of resistance bands at a different resistance level to add more to your workouts, and use the door anchors to spice things up even more! An absolute winner in my book. Glad I got one of everything!

My home gym routine has definitely improved with variety of workouts and resistance options having this bar. I absolutely love using it for military and shoulder press, as well as squats, front raises, upright rows and forearm curls. If you can anchor the bar's bands around a pole and clip them together, it works well for rows and standing chest press (the range of motion this way feels better than the equivalent movement on the belt).
I would like to see the resistance bands for just the bar sold separately, currently on the website you have to buy them in a package with the bands for the belt and some door anchors. I don't need all these.
I would 100% buy the bar again,
although - if there was an option to just get the bar, and not the bench press belt (and for a reduced price), I would likely have gone down that route. I find myself only really using the belt for chest flies and pull aparts - as my normal set of resistance tubes with handles fulfil the other movements it offers. Nevertheless, if you personally don't have some tubes w/ handles already, I think you'll find the belt useful. Personally, I'll probably sell it second hand and keep the bar.
This is no fault of the product of course, it's my personal preference and existing ownership of similar gear. Otherwise it has been a very positive purchase.

After having a really bad experience with another company and loosing my money I was scared to buy from another company. Universal Bar did not disappoint. They took loads of time to chat to me about the product and shipping. The staff are down to earth and helpful. My order came really quickly and the product itself is amazing! I sadly had to get rid of my home gym due to moving. This provides a great amount of resistance and variety of exercise to replace what I'd use the cable machines for! The only downfall is I should have ordered sooner.

I have tried many home-type gyms in the past, and although they were good, they didn't have the versatility of the Universalbar. It can be used anywhere; the whole family can use it and you can really feel it work.
Would I recommend this to my friends? Absolutely! I'm time poor, so this great and nowhere near the expense of going to the gym.

My experience ordering with the Universal Bar company was handled very graciously when there were several stock issues, resulting in a long delay that was unfortunately out of their control. They were very receptive to my concerns and did their best to rectify the situation, and as I have now received the bar I am very happy to say that it is high quality and, though I have only tested it briefly and haven't yet mastered it, I was pleasantly surprised to find the bands in particular are very durable and would make for a great, challenging workout. I work full-time and this gives me the opportunity to improve my fitness from the comfort of my home, and I am more than happy to write this review and thank the team for their willingness to help.
